Featuring elegant styling, fluid body lines, and a rocking attitude, the Gibson Les Paul Axcess Floyd Rose Electric Guitar is one of the most playable guitars in the world. The result of Gibson"s drive to build the best Les Paul possible, the Axcess stays true to the design and performance of past Les Pauls, but features upgrades for maximum playability and versatility. Gibson Les Paul Axcess Floyd Rose Electric Guitar Features Mahogany Body with Carved Maple Top 24 3/4 inch Mahogany Neck 22 Fret Rosewood Fingerboard with Pearloid Trapezoid Inlays Carved Neck Joint Floyd Rose Tailpiece Exposed Coil 496R (Neck) and 498T (Bridge) Pickups Individual Coil Tapping Push/Pull Knobs for Each Pickup Pure-nickel wound .10-.46 Gibson Vintage Strings Includes a Gibson Custom Hardshell Case and Certificate of Authenticity Body and Neck Encounter the clever structural alteration that gives this new model its name by taking the instrument in your hands and running your fingers up the neck. The Axcess sports what looks from the front to be a traditional Les Paul neck joint, yet the neck heel and portions of the back and neck joint at the upper cutaway have been contoured to provide a heelless feel, and an unimpeded reach right up to the 22nd fret. No more stretching against the traditional neck heel to achieve the upper-fret access that your lead style demands " the Axcess gives you that legendary Les Paul playability all the way up the neck, welcoming you to take it right over the top. The one-piece, 24 3/4 inch scale length, mahogany neck features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid fingerboard inlays. To further enhance playing comfort, this smoothly carved neck joint is combined with a belly scarf (aka ribcage contour) that allows the body of the guitar to hug closely to your own body in the playing position without digging in. Add to these contours the Les Paul Axcess"s slightly thinner body, made from weight-relieved mahogany " with a carved maple top available in Iced Tea Burst or Gun Metal Gray finishes and single-ply cream binding on body top " and you"ve got an instrument that is refreshingly light, and a pure joy to play either strapped on, or in a seated position. Hardware The most noticeable addition is the Floyd Rose tailpiece, a unit optimized for anything from subtle vibrato wobbles to dramatic, rumbling divebombs. On the Axcess, the vibrato is installed right at Gibson Custom as part of the manufacturing process, which means this potent piece of high-performance hardware interacts seamlessly with the design of the guitar. Partnered with an R4 locking nut, it also guarantees outstanding tuning stability and return-to-pitch accuracy. 496R and 49

Ted McCarty's Tune-o-Matic bridge (also known as the ABR-1) started to appear on higher-end Gibson guitars as early as 1954. The ABR-1 was added to the Les Paul Model in 1956 and, with individual saddles to adjust each string's length as well as thumbwheels to adjust the overall height of the bridge, represented a quantum leap forward in intonation and a marked improvement in tone and sustain. Now part of Gibson's proprietary new Vintage Original Spec series -- the next step in the journey toward perfection.

Seth Lover's fabled "Patent Applied For" humbucking pickups were added to the Les Paul model in 1957. These dual-coil pickups, quieter yet more powerful than the single coil P-90s that preceded them, combined with the ABR-1 to create a guitar with unprecedented sustain and tone. The 1957 Goldtop Historic Reissue is equipped with BurstBuckers to faithfully replicate the warm, vocal quality and rich harmonic content of the legendary originals. Now part of Gibson's proprietary new Vintage Original Spec series -- the next step in their journey toward perfection.

It might be a familiar profile now, but the sharp-pointed Gibson SG was entirely radical when it arrived in 1961 to replace the single-cutaway Les Paul, foretelling an aggressive rock style that was years ahead of its time. The Gibson SG Gothic Morte makes this double-horned rock icon radical once again. This outrageous new offering from Gibson USA points the way forward both for extreme style and unprecedented depths of tone and power, and embodies the SG's evolution into a 21st century rock weapon.

The Gibson Melody Maker Electric Guitar; One of the most popular guitars in Gibson's history. An unbelievable value for players of all ages, styles and skill levels; the Melody Maker was originally introduced as a student model, much like the Les Paul Junior, the Melody Maker became a player's favorite for its light weight, comfortable neck, and great tone. Today's Melody Maker is a special tribute to the style of the 1959 edition of this beloved guitar. The Melody Maker is no exception to Gibson's quality guitar craftsmanship. With a period-correct pickguard housing a special design single-coil pickup, a vintage-style wraparound tailpiece, rounded 50s neck profile, and slim, light body. Gibson Melody Maker Features Slim, Solid Mahogany Body 50s Rounded Neck Profile with Set-Neck Construction 22-Fret Rosewood Fingerboard with Nickel and Silver Alloy Frets Gibson"s Special Design Singlecoil Pickup Compensated Wraparound Bridge/Tailpiece Angled Headstock Adjustable Truss Rod Dot Inlays Nitrocellulose Finish Slim, Solid Mahogany Body The most central of all the Melody Maker"s features is its slim, solid mahogany body. The mahogany goes through the same rigorous selection process as all of Gibson"s woods, and is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson"s team of skilled wood experts before it enters the factories. Inside the Gibson factories, humidity is maintained at 45 percent, and the temperature at 70 degrees. This ensures all woods are dried to a level of equilibrium , where the moisture content does not change during the manufacturing process. This guarantees tight-fitting joints and no expansion, and controls the shrinkage and warping of the woods, in addition to reducing the weight. It also improves the woods" machinability and finishing properties. Consistent moisture content means that a Melody Maker will respond evenly to temperature and humidity changes long after it leaves the factory. Gibson"s Special Design Singlecoil Pickup The legendary Melody Makers of the late 1950s and early 1960s were the best-selling models of Gibson"s famed Golden Era , and with good reason--they were lightweight, equipped with a comfortable neck, and capable of exceptional tone courtesy of Gibson"s own singlecoil pickup. Today"s Melody Maker sports a special-design singlecoil pickup that delivers that same vintage tone and performance. A stellar combination of high output and sweet treble response, this multi-ceramic magnet pickup provides plenty of punchy bite when needed, as well as incredible sustain and cutting power. Compensated Wraparound Bridge/Tailpiece A classic piece of hardware first used on the Les Paul Junior, the compensated wraparound bridge/tailpiece on the Melody Maker offers a simplicity and functionality that is hard to matc
