ESP Hardshell Form Fit Guitar Case for Xtone Style ESP Guitars Protect your Xtone instrument with this excellent form fit case from ESP. ESP 30 YEAR HISTORY 1975 The first dedicated store for providing custom parts to hot-rod guitars opens in Tokyo. The shop is called Electric Sound Products, or ESP. 1976-1982 ESP gains attention as a reputable provider of high-quality replacement parts. ESP also begins crafting the first complete guitars under the ESP and Navigator brand names for the Japan market. 1983 ESP replacement parts for electric guitars and basses are introduced to the US market. 1984-1985 ESP begins creating custom instruments for local New York artists and top session players. Some very early ESP users included Bruce Kulick (KISS) Carmine Rojas (David Bowie), Ronnie Drayton, Vernon Reid (Living Colour), and Page Hamilton (Helmet). Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones works with ESP to develop a custom guitar, later to become his signature model. The ESP 400 Series becomes the company"s first production line to have US distribution. Today, these early 400 Series instruments are regarded as among the industry"s best vintage reproduction instruments. 1986 On tour in Tokyo, George Lynch of Dokken (and later Lynch Mob) visits an ESP store to purchase a replacement neck. Upon learning that they made custom guitars as well, he sat down with ESP"s luthiers and ordered the first now-famous Kamikaze guitar. ESP introduces the M1 Standard, M1 Custom, and Horizon Custom guitars, and the Surveyor bass. 1987-1988 Seeking a new guitar for the start of the Monsters of Rock tour, Kirk Hammett of Metallica discovers ESP and creates his first custom instrument, later to be known as the KH-2. ESP debuts their first signature model, the George Lynch Kamikaze. ESP is now based in a loft in downtown New York on 19th Street. 1989 Kirk Hammett"s signature ESP KH-2 is introduced. ESP"s New York HQ moves to 48th Street to be near the action of the city"s famous strip of music stores. 1990-1992 ESP"s Signature Series grows, as does its standard product line. The US replacement parts business is discontinued in order to focus completely on the guitar and bass line as well as custom shop instruments. 1993-1995 ESP moves its US headquarters from New York to Los Angeles, opening an office on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. Designed to provide ESP"s high quality standards to a more affordable line of production-model guitars, the LTD brand is born. 1996-2001 New ESP Signature models arrive from artists such as Stephen Carpenter (Deftones), Jeff Hanneman (Slayer), Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly) Jake E. Lee (Badlands) and James Hetfield (Metallica). The LTD line gains popularity, earning its own level of acceptance among artists.

Ibanez Guitar and Bass Cases are the real deal - quality and value, built just for your guitar! Other cases may look like an Ibanez case. But if it doesn't say Ibanez, it isn't an Ibanez. Only Ibanez cases are designed specifically to fit and protect your Ibanez guitar or bass. Accept no substitutes! Protect your investment by insisting on the genuine article. Generic look alike cases designed to fit everything rarely fit anything right. Only Ibanez cases and bags are made to fit the unique shape of Ibanez guitars and basses. If it doesn't say Ibanez on the case, it isn't an Ibanez. Ibanez Guitars - A Short History Of A Company With A Long History If you wanted a total history of Ibanez you'd have go back to 1908 when a company named Hoshino began as a sheet music store and later music products distributor in Nagoya Japan. If you wanted a little less completeness than that you'd go back about forty-five when Hoshino began distributing a Spanish guitar named Ibanez. Or perhaps you'd simply go to the Mid 60's when Hoshino, who by that time had purchased the rights to the Ibanez name, began shipping incredibly funky looking guitars to the United States, many of which were actually sold in department stores. But for most of us, Ibanez pretty much begins almost 30 years ago, when Hoshino opened an office near Philadelphia, PA for more efficiently distributing Ibanez guitars to the United States. Most of those guitars were Ibanez' famous high quality (but very inexpensive) copies of just about everything"you name it, we probably made a version of it. At that time many American instruments were going through an unfortunate period of increasing prices with decreasing quality, and these copies hit a ready market. But the people with Ibanez weren't content with just copying and Ibanez began making their own designs: the solid body Artists (played by Bob Weir of the Dead) the Iceman (first made famous by Paul Stanley of KISS and the George Benson guitars, the first jazz boxes designed for higher volume stage playing. Many of these 'first' Ibanez guitars continue to increase in value and a good number are now highly prized collector's items. By 1976, the Ibanez copy era officially came to an end when one of the major American guitar manufacturers--no longer amused by the copiers"successfully sued the highest profile copier, Ibanez. But by that time it didn't matter"Ibanez had already left the copies behind and was fast becoming an innovative guitar company in its own right. By the mid-80's with the interest in instrumental rock guitar on the rise, Ibanez collaborated with players such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert and brought out the JEM, JS, RG and S models. Today, present day versions such as these models still considered the standard in hard rock and instrumental rock guitars. As well known for its jazz guitars as it is for rock, Ibanez has an impressive li
