Originally conceived as a model that could've been made during the halcyon days of the early '50s (Fender didn't begin building thinline guitars until 1968), the Custom Telecaster Thinline guitar was recently designed by the Fender Custom Shop's Senior Master Builder. This guitar has been given Fender's "Relic" treatment - built to show years of natural wear and tear; with nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware, and aged plastic parts. Alder body, one-piece maple neck/fretboard, and vintage alnico-magnet pickups give it classic Fender tone with added resonance from the body cavity.

The "Ice Man's" '66 Custom Tele is faithfully reproduced by the Fender Custom Shop. Ash body has white binding on top and back. Rich tone of a humbucker in the neck position combined with a vintage bridge pickup produce the distinctive Collins sound. Natural finish only.
