Icon. Not a word to be used lightly. But the Stratocaster® is just that. The new American Standard Stratocaster® guitars are beauties to behold in sound, look and feel. We kept the hand-rolled fingerboard edges, Alnico V pickups and staggered tuning machines for playability, tone and stability, and added several new features, including: A new bridge with improved bent-steel saddles and a copper-infused high-mass block for increased resonance and sustain. A new neck treatment tinted for a richer presentation, with the maple or rosewood fingerboard buffed to a high gloss. The back of the neck still has that silky satin finish. A thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance. Also includes a new Fender® exclusive SKB® molded case.

Keep it simple with one humbucking pickup.

This Strat’s body is made of agathis, which in tone is quite comparable to mahogany–warm and thick, but with plenty of punch. The full-scale (25.5-inch), bolt-on maple neck is plenty fast, with its standard “C” shape. It features 21 medium jumbo frets with black dot inlays.

On the electronics front, this guitar keeps it simple. A single black volume knob controls one humbucking pickup in the bridge position, for plenty of bite (players can of course back off the volume for a bit of tonal range, or just go all-out).

The guitar features a hard tail string-through-body bridge and standard die-cast tuning machines for stable rocking, with a chrome finish to accentuate the gloss black finish.

The engraved Squier neck plate means you can expect the same quality you’d get from any other Fender-made Squier guitar. And of course, there’s the fun Hello Kitty accoutrements, like the aforementioned Kitty pickgaurd, and a “collage” Hello Kitty logo gracing the back.
